Michelle Branch, Nich Lachey and Nickelback songs are about salvation and redemption - totally how I see them. <3 Now Sugarbabes music is not my thing, but the lyrics are super romantic. Evanescence one is sublime. I love that band and now this song. I'll get back to you on the rest tomorrow. Yeah, you can see them saving each other from things, so they totally fit. The Sugababes, i will admit are a little twee but i like them being romantic and sensual with each other. But i know you don't like that kind of music, LOL! But the lyrics fit. Yeah, i really like the Evanescense song as well, its one of the few that i like. I still don't know who's point of view it is from though because i can see it from both.

lol I think a lot of the music here comes down to lyrics and not musical taste... XD I mean, for the most part, you could make Aqua fit if the verses work... but can anyone here really see Reid rocking out to Barbie Girl? (And if the answer to that is YES-- insert link to crack!fic ...here.) XD

I mean, there are some people who are just into the music and the base line but there are some which are really lyric based. I like lyrics and its always interesting seeing what we find in songs that make us connect to H/R. And its also interesting seeing the wide range of music as well.

XD I want to plant those seeds though-- *would not-so-secretly-LOVE-to-read-an-Aqua-based-fanfic-for-H/R* XD *Implants*
Anyhow... meh, I tend to just prefer music I deem "good" selfishly. XD

She keeps Moet et Chandon In a pretty cabinet 'Let them eat cake' she says Just like Marie Antoinette A built-in remedy For Khrushchev and Kennedy At anytime an invitation You can't decline Caviar and cigarettes Well versed in etiquette Extraordinarily nice She's a Killer Queen Gunpowder, Gelatine Dynamite with a laser beam Guaranteed to blow your mind Anytime Recommended at the price Insatiable an appetite Wanna try? To avoid complications She never kept the same address In conversation She spoke just like a baroness Met a man from China Went down to Asia Minor Then again incidentally If you're that way inclined Perfume came naturally from Paris for cars she couldn't care less Fastidious and precise Drop of a hat she's as willing as Playful as a pussy cat Then momentarily out of action Temporarily out of gas To absolutely drive you wild, wild She's out to get you Recommended at the price Insatiable in appetite Wanna try? You wanna try. XD And I'm sure we can all figure out why that song suits them on a case, myes? XD

"Stigmatized" by The Calling
If I give up on you I give up on me If we fight what's true, will we ever be Even God himself and the faith I knew Shouldn't hold me back, shouldn't keep me from you
[Chorus:] Tease me, by holding out your hand Then leave me, or take me as I am And live our lives, stigmatized
I can feel the blood rushing though my veins When I hear your voice, driving me insane Hour after hour day after day Every lonely night that I sit and pray
[Chorus]
We live our lives on different sides, But we keep together you and I Just live our lives, stigmatized
We'll live our lives We'll take the punches everyday We'll live our lives I know we're gonna find our way
I believe in you Even if no one understands I believe in you, and I don't really give a damn If we're stigmatized We live our lives on different sides But we keep together you and I We live our lives on different sides
We gotta live our lives Gotta live our lives We're gonna live our lives We're gonna live our lives Gonna live our lives Stigmatized
How that for a struggle? I think this song can be related to any nontraditional couples out there. The acoustic version is even more beautiful and haunting. I love Alex's voice. <3
EDIT: Oh, yeah, there's an extra verse. Can only be heard in live version:
I'll write you all a letter, to say my last goodbye I just think it's time for me to go away. The sun it seems to sink now like my love into a grave His life was not yet over it doesn't need to be saved. The chambers in my heart thank you all the same. The silence of a man it drives himself insane. Well, I'll come back and smile once again. And try and try until I die to make you understand my love.
Now I'm done. Sorry for spamming.

You do realise that the song is written about a high class call girl don't you? And you realize that Queen is flamingly homosexual, yes...? ^_^ Enough with the obvious though. I still think it's appropriate. <3 They weren't flaming homosexual, they were camp but so where a lot of the musicians in the 70s. I mean the clothing and the hair, a lot of the bands, certainly in england, wore the same thing and had the same hair cuts, it was the fashion. I mean, look at David Bowie, he was far more out there then Queen were, and i am not just talking musically, he wore a dress and makeup. As Freddie said, yes, the clothes were ridicualous but it worked at the time and that was all that mattered. If you look at the big bands in the 70s, all the music was theatrical and over the top, it was the style, it was big and loud and out there but that was they style of music in the 70s just the like the 90s was club music. As for gay, yes Freddies was gay but no one knew that until the 80s but Brian, Roger & John are all straight and have kids. Also, in the 70s, Freddie was the pin up for what straight men wanted to be and even when he died, people still didn't think he was gay. So no, they weren't Flaming Homosexual, they were what the 70s music looked and sounded like. Also, i and my mum are Queen fans, my mum has been a queen fan since the beginning, she is also a fan of a lot of the bands from that era and believe me, they all sound like that and look like that. I was just making sure that while the lyrics may fit, with people who know the song and what it is about will look at it and say, so what you are saying is that they are a high class call girl. I just wanted to make sure you knew what the lyrics were about, that's all. I mean you are basically saying that Reid sleep with people to get where he is or to get money.

Love, I know full well that only the lead singer of Queen was gay, but they are all supporters. ^_^ I've been into Queen and the subculture forever and believe in rainbow power. ^_^ Anyhow, I should've elaborated but that was all I meant by it... that they are gay-rights supports, just like the Village People are (even if not all of the members of Queen are gay).

I'm not going to fully break it down though. Also, some of the chorus reminds me of Reid, I dunno, it just strikes me as being the epitome of them. ^_^
